Music Ministries

Welcome to our music ministries page. We praise the Lord with both song and instruments.

All God's Children Have a Place in the Choir - -

All children Pre-K and Elementary age are invited to be part of the children's choir. We meet most Sunday mornings during Children's Church at the 10:30 AM worship service (except for a summer break). We sing and play rhythm instruments and Rainbow Bells. Every week we work on special songs to sing and play in worship.

We recently sang two songs on October 4 during the special “Blessing of the Animals” Sunday. We shared “I Can Make a Difference” from our Children's Church curriculum, and then used animal puppets to animate “All God's Critters Got a Place in the Choir.” Come to worship and be a part of the fun of Children's Church and choir where you will learn all the great Bible stories and find out how “You Can Make a Difference!”

Presently, we have a fun, dedicated group of almost 30 persons singing and ringing in our two music ministry programs. Chancel Choir rehearses about five anthems each Thursday evening and takes a leadership role in worship most Sundays with anthems and liturgy. Handbell Ensemble often provides Prelude or Offertory anthems one Sunday a month. Both groups rehearse on Thursday evening, except for a summer break -- Handbell Ensemble from 6 - 6:50 PM and Chancel Choir from 7 - 8:15 PM.

Handbell Ensemble began the fall season by playing “A Joyful Ring” as our prelude October 4. As always, Chancel Choir prepares anthems that require special attention such as working with a brass ensemble for Reformation Sunday which was on October 25.
