Pastor Kathleen A. Basner
I have been a resident of the Saginaw area most of my life. I am a graduate of Delta College, Saginaw Valley State University, and Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. My Bachelor's degree is in Music Education and I hold a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Seminary. Before coming to Resurrection Lutheran Church, I was for many years a lay staff person at St. John Lutheran Church in Saginaw, and for two years as an Associate in Ministry at Zion Lutheran Church in Freeland. Before attending seminary, I also taught music and beginning band at St. Stephen and St. Thomas Aquinas schools in Saginaw, and served on the secretarial staff at the Saginaw YMCA for a short time. My husband, Mike, is retired from Delphi Steering Systems. He is an avid Boy Scout volunteer, currently serving as a committee member with Troop 366 at First Presbyterian Church in Saginaw, and is Resurrection's church representative for Cub Pack 3300 - for which RLC serves as sponsor for. I enjoy playing French horn in the Saginaw Area Concert Band. Mike and I have a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and David Ketepa, and a son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Sally.
